Vice Principal / Kindergarten / Early Childhood Coordinator - Risobel Torres

 

Mrs. Torres is originally from Puerto Rico. She speaks both Spanish and English. 
Mrs. Torres studied at the University of Puerto Rico where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Education, K-12. She is certified to lead the VPK program and to be a day care director/operator. 
Mrs. Torres has been at Osceola Adventist Christian School for over 11 years! Before coming to OACS she had her own home day care and homeschooled her own children for 3 years.  Prior to that,  Mrs. Torres taught for 4 years at Stonewall Jackson Middle School (OCPS) where she was a self-contained classroom teacher.  As you can see Mrs. Torres is passionate about teaching and being around children! Mrs. Torres hobbies include running and camping.  She has participated in many 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, marathons, and triathlons. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking.
Mrs. Torres is married to, in her words, a wonderful man by the name of Javier Perez who is a 6th grade science teacher at a different school. She has two handsome boys; Jadiel is the oldest, he is a mechanic for Seminole School District and Jeziel is the youngest, who will be attending Valencia Community College.  His goal is to become a firefighter.
Mrs. Torres feels that is very important that we work as a team in order to provide your child with a successful experience.  For that reason, Mrs. Torres loves to keep open and frequent communication with all her parents!
